Patrick James Hardin Willoughby, beloved son, father, brother, and friend, passed away and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 8, 2025. Born on July 11, 1973, Pat brought light, laughter, and music into the lives of everyone who knew him.
The mountains were Patrick’s happy place — a source of peace, reflection, and joy. He loved hiking and being outdoors, and of course, a good game of golf. Pat was a man of many talents. He played the piano beautifully by ear and had an incredible singing voice that could fill a room with warmth and life.
Patrick loved animals and had an unmistakable laugh — a deep, contagious belly laugh that drew others in. He was always jovial and smiling, quick with humor that was sometimes a little warped, but always perfectly and authentically him. Those who loved Pat wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
As a child, Patrick’s curious mind and creative spirit were already shining through. He would dress in a suit and carry a briefcase, ready to take on the world. He learned electrical work at a young age by watching his grandpas, always eager to understand how things worked. He even had beautiful handwriting — a reflection of his attention to detail and care in everything he did.
Pat was known for his big heart and playful nature. Family stories tell of him sleeping with a vacuum cleaner for security when he was little — a funny, tender glimpse into his unique personality that brought so much joy to his family.
Patrick is survived by his parents, Bill (Francine) and Rose; his siblings Mark (Evie), Jill (Travis), and Karly (Geoff); his children, Molly and Lennard; and his grandson, Blake. He is also remembered with love by his nieces and nephews and countless friends who cherished his humor, kindness, and unforgettable spirit.
Patrick will be deeply missed but forever remembered — in the laughter he inspired, the music he played, and the love he shared so freely with everyone around him.
