Lynn Saunders Carter

Lynn Saunders Carter of Winlock, Washington passed peacefully in her sleep after battling a long illness on July 21, 2026, with her family by her side.

In Lynn's earlier years she worked at a couple of equestrian farms helping take care of and train the horses. She loved them so much, but that all ended after an accident that forced the end of that career. She then went on to do security work and also helped at her church with the food bank/clothes closet and joined the bell and singing choirs, as well.

Lynn is survived by her son James Saunders of Winlock, granddaughters Jamie Sunders of Winlock, Kimberly (Andy) Saunders of Tumwater, Samantha Saunders of Kennewick, daughter-in-law Amanda Merk of Waycross, GA, grandson Lee Carter of Waycross, GA, step-daughters Kimberly Rodgers of Jacksonville, FL, and Dana Bach of Jacksonville, FL

A scattering will be held at a later date

In lieu of cards and flowers a Memorial Fund has been set up at Timberland Bank in Winlock for donations to James Saunders memorial account for Lynn S. Carter, to help the family.
