Jim Davis, 73, passed away on August 27, 2025, in Glenoma, Washington, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 20, 1951, in Seattle, WA, he moved with his family to Hobart, WA, in 1958, where he attended Tahoma school district 2nd through 12th grade. Jim lived a life marked by service, adventure, and deep devotion to his family and friends. Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He enlisted in December 1969 and served during the Vietnam War before being stationed in Germany. He received an honorable discharge in December 1975.

After his military service, Jim's passion for hunting and fishing took him northward to Alaska where he lived for many years in Yakutat. Alaska remained close to his heart throughout his life. Eventually settling in Yakima, Washington, Jim continued to pursue hands-on work that reflected both his skill and determination. He operated heavy equipment and later founded Bulletproof Fabrication—a business that showcased his ingenuity, talent and work ethic. Jim was known for his generosity and kindness. Those who knew him often spoke of his giving nature and unwavering loyalty. He is survived by Lisa, his beloved wife, partner and love of his life. Jim was a proud grandfather who deeply loved his grandchildren.

His extended family includes sisters Janice (Dan) Pedersen, Molly Jones, and Lissa (Steve) Biehn; brothers Joe Hinton and Scott (Kathy) Hinton; bonus mom Betty (Hinton) Davis; nieces Emily (Bryan) Friedly, Hannah Biehn, Jaeden Biehn; nephew Andy (Sierra) Brunette; great nieces and nephews, as well as many lifelong friends who were like family to him. He was preceded in death by his mother Maxine (Davis) Podkranic and father Robert L. Davis. Jim also shared a special bond with his dogs Pearl, Rylee and most recently, Daisy; great dogs who brought him so much happiness.

May Jim’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him and serve as a lasting reminder of a life well-lived—with courage, love, laughter, and purpose. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 11, 2026, at 01:00 PM at Jim and Lisa's located at 243 Waterloo Rd Glenoma, WA. 98336.
