Frank Andrew Kittock, 70, of Randle, Washington, passed away on April 20, 2026, at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver.
Frank was born and raised in East Lewis County and graduated from White Pass High School in 1973. He went on to spend many years working as a skilled gunsmith, a craft that reflected both his precision and patience.
Frank was deeply committed to serving his community. He volunteered with Lewis County Fire District #14 in Randle as both a firefighter and EMT, always willing to step in when someone needed help. That same spirit carried into every part of his life. He was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back. If you asked him for something, you’d usually hear “for a nickel”.
He was also a dedicated ham radio operator, known by many in that community by his call sign, W7PWP, and connected to people far beyond his hometown. If you saw one of his vehicles, covered in antennas, you might think he was trying to phone home to E.T., and he’d likely laugh and agree, then follow it up with a UFO story. Radios, antennas, and staying connected to others weren’t just hobbies to him; they were part of who he was.
Frank never met a stranger. He was kind, funny, always busy, and always doing something for someone. He had a way of making people feel welcome and taken care of, no matter who they were.
He loved his pugs deeply and would often say, “pugs are perfect.” He leaves behind his beloved dogs, Cash and Tango.
He is survived by his children, Bill of Centralia, Washington; Alisha of Randle, Washington; Tessa of Ridgefield, Washington; and Megan of Chehalis, Washington; his grandchildren, Raelynd, Emma, and Lucas; and his siblings, Paulette Hedlund and Mark “Butch” Kittock.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Arlette Kittock.
Frank will be remembered for his generosity, his sense of humor, and the way he showed up for others without ever asking for anything in return. Everyone who knew him is better for it.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Reconciled Christian Fellowship, 130 Morris Road in Randle, on May 30, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., with a Potluck Reception to follow at the Randle Fire Hall.
Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Swanson and the CVICU team at PeaceHealth for their compassion, commitment, and kindness they showed Frank and his family during his stay.
