Douglas Wayne ‘Doug’ Smith, 48, of Chehalis, Wash., passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021, in Olympia, following a brave battle with COVID. Doug was born September 8, 1973, in Vancouver, Wash., to Robert Wayne and Sheri L. (Meyer) Smith.
He graduated in 1991 from Castle Rock High School in Castle Rock, Wash., and went on to earn his Bachelors in Psychology and Criminal Justice in from WSU in 1995. Along with his brother, Jason, Doug was co-owner of Speedy Cash, a check cashing and loan servicing business with locations in Centralia and Longview, Wash., since 1998.
