Collett M. Resop, born February 15, 1957, in Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, in Randle, Washington, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and deep devotion to those she cherished most.
Collett was born to Victor Andersen and BonnieLu Kemp Andersen. She was the third of seven children and the only daughter — a role she carried with grit, warmth, and a lifelong dedication to the people she loved.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Victor T. Resop, Jr.; her parents; her loving adopted father, Douglas H. DeWeese; and her brother, Philip Andersen.
Collett’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her children: Mitchell Gene Barker; Elise Patricia Jennings (Joey); Wayne Douglas Barker (Elizabeth); and Tiffany Marie Resop (Tim Lanktree). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Khloee, Zackary, Mitchell Jr., Ethan, Emily, Ryleigh, Thomas, Paige, Alice, Arianna, and Theodore, along with countless nieces and nephews, “adopted” children and grandchildren, who knew her love as steady, unconditional, and constant.
Collett will be remembered for her fierce love, her generous heart, and the way she made others feel welcomed and cared for. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched and through the family who will carry her love forward for generations to come.
The family is planning a memorial barbecue later in the spring.
